You Are Not Alone, Mama: Why I Started Unbreakable Mama
I’ll be honest—I got caught up in the minutia of it all.
The information overload, the endless suggestions, the medical directions, and the constant fear of making the wrong choice.
At one point, I froze.
Unbreakable Mama began as a gift the Lord gave me—a calling placed on my heart. A space where I could finally share my stories, insights, failures, prayers, and everything in between that comes with raising three kids, one of whom has Spina Bifida.
On a coaching call one day, I admitted out loud for the first time that I wanted to write a book. A book for the woman I used to be—the mom just starting this journey. The mom who needed someone to tell her she wasn’t alone. The mom who needed to hear that this path would require relentless faith, deep courage, and unfailing love.
Saying yes to that coaching program was freeing—but it also made me overthink. My simple desire to share turned into a muddled mess of business models and strategies.
But here’s the truth:
Right now, this isn’t just a business. It’s a place for solace.
A space for connection.
A community where no mama has to walk this road alone.
Where Strength Really Comes From
Today, I reached out to a friend who just learned that her son has life-altering medical issues. She said that hearing other people’s stories gave her strength.
And while stories can bring perspective, I don’t think strength comes from comparing experiences.
For me, strength didn’t come from information—it came from ugly prayers whispered through tears, from a hug offered without words, and from a simple text that said, “I see you. I know your mama-heart. I’m here.”
Strength is born when someone steps into your hard place, even for a moment, and reminds you that you are not invisible.
That’s what Unbreakable Mama is about—reminding each other that we’re seen, loved, and never walking this path alone.
Why I’m Here With You
So here I am, mama—to let you know that I see you.
I’ve walked through uncertainty. I’ve prayed the ugly prayers. I’ve sat through IEP meetings, medical updates, and moments of pure exhaustion. And I’m still a work in progress.
Some days, I’ll be active here and on social media. Other days, I’ll be fully immersed in motherhood. But beyond being my children’s mother, I’ve never felt more called to anything than to create a bond with you—other incredible mothers raising children with special needs.
Writing gives me clarity. Speaking on video? Still working on it.
But this message matters too much to stay quiet, so I’ll keep showing up—imperfectly, but honestly.
